Did you know that Plessy’s elementary school in the Seventh Ward and middle school in the Treme provide free tuition and arts programming to 700 students. Money raised at this gala will go to support tuition, music lessons, instruments, and technology (every student receives a Chromebook) for these students. The arts programming includes music, visual art, dance and theater. Friends of Plessy is a group of parents of Homer Plessy Community School students and they are on a mission to “make a difference for all our children.”
