The second Chewbacchus parade featured Giorgio Tsoukalos (consulting Producer of History Channel’s Ancient Aliens series) as royalty, reigning as the “Lord of the Chewbaccalypse.” The parade rolled the Saturday before Fat Tuesday, instead of Sunday as it did the previous year.

Despite the appropriately apocalyptic rains, the parade got underway after a slight weather delay. Approximately 400 members mozied from The Big Top (1638 Clio Street) to the 2019 Chewbacchanal at The Howlin’ Wolf (907 South Peters Street) by way of St. Charles Avenue, Felicity Street and Camp Street.
