Does your child love Sci-fi? Music? Loves New Orleans’ brand of funk, but always been left out of Mardi Gras? Now is their chance to make history!
NOLArts, in partnership with Chewbaccus, Preservation Hall and iDIYA, will be celebrating your kids’ wild and wacky uniqueness with their own adaptive Mardi Gras subkrewe.
We all know that Mardi Gras parades can be loud, dark and just a teeny bit crazy. NOLArts has it covered, with adaptive measures (including headphones and trained volunteers) to make the experience safe and comfortable.
Over 8 art therapy sessions, kids will make their own costumes, throws and props using professional equipment (including digital laser cutters and 3D printers), and decorate their own float.
