Chewbacchus (like all advanced alien entities) evolves rapidly and we are always working on initiatives to make the Krewe even more amazing. There are lots of ways to get involved, but the best way to enjoy the parade is with friends, so grab some cool kids and join the subkrewe that speaks to you. And because are always looking for fresh meat for our Parade Escort Team, the Redshirt Rebellion, there’s even a way to join for free!
First Things First…
Pay your dues now to become a marching member of the coolest krewe in the ‘verse! And stay in the loop about all things Chewbacchus including parties, events and of course, the parade, by joining our Facebook Group and our mailing list.
Join a Subkrewe
A subkrewe is a smaller entity in the Krewe of Chewbacchus that has organized under a theme to roll in a cohesive group during the parade. Populations can range from 2 to over 100. Some subkrewes have contraptions and sound, others do not. Subkrewes self establish their own rules and guidelines. Some krewes are kid friendly, some have open membership, and some ask for additional krewe dues to cover expenses for shared contraptions/resources. Check out the Facebook group “Get in Where You Fit In” for more information about various groups and guidance for what krewe to join.
Starting a New Subkrewe
If you have an idea for a subkrewe/mini-contingent/group theme that doesn’t already exist, there is a good chance that chewbacchanaliens will embrace your idea whole heartedly. Forming your own subkrewe is easy. It really comes down to a solid concept that people want to be a part of and a clever/funny name. For actual parade day logistics, please use the form a little further down the page to let us know about your parade contraptions and musical/noise acts so we can place you in the parade lineup effectively.

The Free Orchestra of Rhythmic Cacophany and Euphony (The F.O.R.C.E.)
We are a live band playing Star Wars themes over traditional and Middle Eastern rhythms on diverse instruments, including home-made ones.
