Friday, June 14, 2019 – Chewbs gathered at The Drifter on Tulane Ave to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the Pax Chewbacchus, the historical agreement to incorporate PUEWC and all fandoms into the krewe. We partied with a pool full of inflatable aliens and unicorns, a soundtrack by DJ Nothing, and a specialty cocktail called “Rocket Fuel.” Oh, and the new IKoC beach towel debuted as merch–it was a monumental event. For some members, it was the first time to see their krewe-mates since the parade, and conversations quickly turned to costumes for Midsummer Mardi Gras and the 2020 parade. ChewbacchanALIENS ended the evening with a packed pool and dance floor, going home excited about the run up to our 10th annual march. All Hail!
