The third Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus parade was a cosmic triumph with Peter Mayhew reigning as the “Emperor for Life” of the 2013 parade. For his first ride with the krewe, Mayhew was joined by his wife Angie as his Royal Consort. Mayhew had planned to participate in the inaugural parade but was unable to march. Peter and Angie announce their reign and intention to ride on YouTube.
The 2013 parade marked two major changes for the parade in its third year: a date change that moved the krewe to the Saturday night two weekends before Fat Tuesday and a route change that moved the krewe to the Marigny neighborhood.
ChewbacchanALIENS lined up at the Den of Muses at 42 Architect Alley, rolling up N Peters to Frenchmen St then winding down St Claude Avenue on its way back to the Den of Muses.
