In November of 2019, Chewbacchus canonized their first Holy Being, Peter Mayhew, elevating him from Emperor for Life to Emperor for Eternity. The second Holy Being was Princess Senator General Carrie Fisher in 2020.

On November 1, 2019, the Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus canonized the gentle giant who taught us all to always let the Wookiee win. Art, poetry, and other offerings were accepted at newly unveiled Temple of the Sacred Drunken Wookiee. With a station dedicated to the man whose kindness and love inspired us all, Peter Mayhew, cult adherents gathered to commemorate our first and most honorable Holy Being. All Hail!

Princess Senator General Carrie Fisher

Due to COVID-19 restrictions on Planet Earth in the year 2020, The Overlords met on November 1st at a secret (socially distanced) location to perform the Sacred ritual deifying Carrie Fisher into the Cult of the Sacred Drunken Wookiee… As a young princess in Star Wars, she charmed her way into our hearts and quickly revealed her strength and wit. She served the Rebellion and rose in the ranks to Senator and then General. It’s in that spirit, and in recognition of her incredible abilities to suffer no fools and to find humor when it’s most needed that we elevated her as one of our Holy Beings. All Hail!
